About
Tiva offers a living, breathing space where women and gender-diverse people connected to womanhood can creatively reclaim belonging — showing that culture is not only inherited but actively made.

While we deeply respect all genders, this space is intentionally not mixed-gender — to preserve the sense of safety, trust, and focus that make deep, transformative work possible.
We hold this boundary with respect — not as exclusion, but as a way to create a shared ground of understanding where real openness can emerge.

Unlike programs designed for permanent “migrants,” Tiva speaks to women in motion — and women between cultures: travelers, students, seekers, daughters of migrants, and those who have returned “home” only to feel foreign again.
Migration, whether temporary or lifelong, reshapes identity and invites transformation. Tiva responds to this ongoing journey — addressing the unmet needs of belonging, self-expression, and agency that are vital for well-being in times of transition.

In a world that often demands assimilation, Tiva creates a rare environment where difference, creativity, and selfhood are honored as essential parts of adapting to new cultures while remaining rooted in one’s essence.
It’s not only a place to feel seen — it’s a space to integrate multiple cultures, to weave together the many versions of oneself, and to discover a more authentic way of being.

By supporting women to reconnect with themselves, Tiva nurtures social cohesion, humanity, and purpose.
Here, migration is reframed — not as rupture, but as renewal. A continuous process of becoming: contributing, connecting, and growing — whether one stays, moves on, or returns home.
Most importantly, Tiva doesn’t reduce women to stories of hardship.
We recognize them as active participants in shaping their well-being and identity — a vital step toward autonomy and growth.

At its heart, Tiva clears the lens through which the pain of migration is often seen, widening the perspective to reveal the beauty of cultural exchange. Because the most powerful outcome of these journeys is not only survival, but becoming a fuller version of ourselves — and offering that fullness back to the world.
Through creative, somatic, and reflective practices in community, Tiva helps to reduce isolation while fostering resilience and a sense of self-efficacy.
This approach aligns with research showing that group-based, culturally sensitive practices can buffer against anxiety and depression, enhance coping skills, and support post-migration adjustment.
Through art, movement, and reflection, we transform migration from rupture into renewal — making it a source of creativity, self-connection, and social cohesion.
At its heart, Tiva is where women in motion can carry home within themselves.
